Is Comet ISON dead or live

After travelling 5.8 million years the ISON comet came near sun only to die.  The impact is so huge as its temperature as high as 2700 deg C.

Still scientis are wondering if it is still alive or dead.

Why not these comets can be brought safely to earth to enrich earth water sources.

Small turbines on roof top

I was of the belief that lift alone contributes towards wind power generation, but this product by one Japanese says it uses both lift and drag forces.

They claim that the same wind is used twice to generate power for details click the title which will take you to their web site.

These turbine occupy less space and can be fitted on roof top.

Cars than run using water

Now it is a reality car with water as fuel.

It is long time that fuel cells where expected to do miracles on the way we live.  Finally Hyundai is all set to mass produce cars that run on fuel cells.

Hope this technology will reduce the carbon emission.

So we will be moving from what we thought on what a car will look a like using water as fuel to what is now available.

PETROL FROM AIR

BELIEVE IT OR NOT PETROL FROM AIR

Soon you can get fuel if not petrol from air.  A British Company "Air Fuel Synthesis" unveiled a breakthrough technology.

The technology is simple take carbon di oxide from air and using water vapour and high technology to produce fuel which can even run air craft.

They already made a pilot plant of 5 liters.

How to reduce Carbon emission

Use it to fill tyre in Car, Tyre, Bus.

A car has a volume of about 0.02 Cubic meter. 

Number of passager vechicles in USA is around 254 millions including two wheelers and 6 wheelers.  At an average if we consider of using carbon di oxide to fill the tubes about 5.08 million cube of carbon di oxide will be entraped in tubes.

In India the number of cars are 45 millions and on the same ratio about 0.9 million cube of carbon di oxide can be entrapped.

Instead of using air which also contains our vital oxygen we can start using carbon  di oxide.

So let's move from emitting carbon to filling, so start building carbon di oxide air filling stations.

India Vs USA or ?

Both India and USA will shake hands their hands in Mars.

After Mangalyan it is Maven of US both are leaving to Mars.  The two largest democratic countries are planning to meet in Mars next September.

They plan to co-ordinate and exchange information.  Hope all countires will follow suit and leave in peace in heaven (atlease mars for now).

Santa claus moves to South Pole

Sun's magnetic poles flips.

Within this week Sun's Magntice poles flip.  Imagine that Santa clauss moves from North Pole to South pole in Antartica.

Yes the north and south polarity of Sun's maganetism is going to change in this week.  This will result in some disturbances to our radio waves and creating more light works at poles called auroras.

Well shifting the polarity is the concept used in bullet trains which runs on magnet.  If Sun can do it of its own.  Can we do it here so that we can transport using magnetic field.

Time to think.

China and Military

China plans to reduce its military

It is a good news to know that China plans to reduce its military having a strength of 2.3 millions.  If other contries like India follows suit huge amount can be saved.  This could be used for developmental activites.

Hats of to China (hope they will do it).

Others please do it.  We need to save enough to save the future.

Trip to Mars for 2 Cents (INR 10)

Cheapest travel to Mars

Today the second retro rockets fired to push Mangalyan from 1,18642 KM to 1,92,874 KM away from earth.  Still it is under earth's gravity field.  On December 1 the third and last push will be given to send it to Mars.

Some facinating facts

1. Indias Mangalyan (probe to Mars) spends 475 kgs of Dry mass to travel 4.5 million killometers. 

2. Total cost Rs. 450 crores (big for a country like India) apx 7 Million USD.

3. Fuel consumption per killometer 0.94 kgs of dry mass.

4. Expenditure Rs. 10 per kilometer or less than 2 cents (USD).

5. Travel 300 days  using fuel of 475 kgs that's something.

If one can to mars travelling travel up to 4.5 million KM's using 475 kgs of fuel and traveling for 300 days.  Well they use the earth's magnetic field.

Then why can't we make cheap magnetic cars using earth's magnetic field. Well...... read on.

How to store Electricity

We have electric power produced from sources which are seasonal like wind and time based like solar.  There are other sources like lightening which generates lot of electricity.

Problem is that we can produce, transport and use electricity.  So far we do not have an effective storage device.

A 25KW storage device of size 0.5 Sq. M. is available now i.e. imagine a normal A4 size paper mutiply by 8 times. This area stores 2500 Units of electricity.

 WOW.

Such technology are real blessings for energy starved countries.

Carbon Emission and Power production

Power production always result in carbon emission in one form or other.  Now there is a chance to reverse the same.

We all know that our earth inner core is molten rock having temperature exceeding 4000 deg C.  Already some geothermal power stations are operating in Europe. 

A novel concept is worked where carbon di oxide will be pumped into earth to absorb heat.  Normally heat is absorbed in water to convert to steam and there by producing energy.  Here carbon di oxide is used which will absorb heat 3 to 5 times more.

All you need is to place a pipeline below earth at around 3 KM down. 

 

So all plumbers, plunge to ground zero minus 3 KM.

Atomic Power Plant and (instead of against) Renewable Energy

It is a welcome news for the power strapped Tamilnadu that Kudankulam has commenced its production now gunning towoards 330 MW.  Most of these power plants are placed near costal areas where there will be good wind.

As there is already grind connection why can't they use the free space to install a wind turbine or two.  Also solar PV cells to cover their roofs.  It should be made mandtory that all projects should have solar PV cells for roof and if there is enough space for a wind turbine.

Well project managers please look into the same.
