Hi Everyone

This is a place where I share my ideas and the one's which I got from others. I do mention their name and where I met them in getting the idea.

I do not have way's or means to execute my ideas. It is more of my wish list

This is a place where you can give your ideas or wish list hoping that some day some one will give to y(our) ideas / wish list.

Pure water from sun

By nature water especially from sea gets evaporates and comes down as rain.  Why this process cannot be done by us.  True India is blessed with more than 10 hours of Sunlight most of the time.

I thought of a normal glass pannel covering a plastic bowl or plate.  The heat will evaporate water (even bore well water of Chennai is equivlane to sea water) and the condensed water can be used for drinking.

While browsing an useful link on the said subject reflecting the same idea link given below for better understanding. It gives a do it yourself kit mo

http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-build-a-solarpowered-water-purifier.html

A solar power photoelectric convertor by a Japanase guy is mind boggling looks to be directly from Sci-fi movie.  A small floating device (just like in movie) draws energy from and by simple capilary rise make water potable (drinkable).

A more interesting topic is that if you keep three glass layers the temperature can go as high as 100 deg C the boiling point of water. An mexican company has done a home base model which uses water used for cleaning from kitchen and bath to get water.  The sun light evaporates the water and gives artificial rain which is collected for use. see the link below.

Some more nice workable models are given in the below link.

So lets do it, the design is simple and can do by everyone.

Rain Vs Road and rail

Rain water harvesting is talked about more but not practised.  Government preaches a lot to others but the buildings own by them needs some care.

We have a large network of road and railways.  Many a time these are not motorable due to water stagnation.  Why can't this be pooled in to a pond to raise the ground water level.

We also know that many times the railway track is submerged in water again can some regulation can be brough in where rain water harvesting is a must for rail line and for road.

Well I am also scracting my head for idea.

Small WTG VAWT

A colleague of mine (Mr. Senthil Kumar in Coromandel / RRB) once suggested that small WTG can be kept in the middle of road.  The vechile movment on both sides will be good enough especially in high speed corrodors.

A Vertical Axis wind turbine like shown below can be installed.  This will be good enough to light the street light.

Can be made mandatory for new upcoming roads.

Any takers.

Cancer Cure

Recently a close relative of mine passed away due to cancer. Cancer consists of healthy cells but grows out of control.  Today our population growth is also termed as a cancer. So how to cure cancer?

Our body develops antibodies to kill germs and foreign body which comes in. Somehow we need to modify our DNA to say that cancer cells are not healthy.

For this we need to do the experiment inside our own body.  Where to get them? Can we use the people who are in comma or declared clinically dead for this purpose.  It may raise ethical and moral questioning.  But somewhere we need to start.

Keep a body alive and intrdouce cancer cells and then try to activate the body mechanism to produce antibodies.

Well I'm not a doctor.  So is there any doctor in the blog world please suggest.

BIO Power

Matrix movie talks about keeping human under sedation and their electro magnatic pulse is used to harvest energy.

I am not going into that, but can other motion like walking, running can they be converted into power. The amount of heat which we loose can it be harvested.

Well time to think.

BUS TRAVEL

Me and my brother use to wonder why there is no sleeper class in bus. My father said that is not possible and is very expensive. Now sleeper bus is a reality.

Now I'm wondering why not a small catering service is not provided in bus. The time lost for stoppage for food and water can be avoided. Yes you need a toilet and a small canteen.

A double decker where food can be served in a small open area or covered with see through flexiglass enclosure.

Any takers.

Grenade Buster

In movies we use to see soldiers jumps over a grenade and absorbs its impact. Ofcourse he got killed. If our body is capable of holding the explosion of one grenade can't we create a dummy or hard foam like thing which when fired or throwed upon a live grenade will abosorb its impact.

Recent articles says a dummy man like robo is made and displayed in UK.

Why can't we have life saver robots than terminators.

POWER FROM OVERHEAD TANK

Water pumping takes energy but as it falls in to the overhead tank its energy is not utilized. Can we have a small rotor which will rotate while the water been pumped, also when the water is drained espcially at the main valve level.

This will be ideally suited where bigger storage tanks are placed like in railway station, appartments, multistorey buildings shoping complex etc.,

If this can be used at multistory buildings it can generate good power.

Any takers.

POWER FROM MOVING TRAIN

Any moving object will have a force acting against the direction in which it moves. Yes I refer to "Air" which is present all around us. Say for example a speeding train will have air flowing across its body. If we apply the same air theory for train which has a face dimension (Engine face) the total volume of air that is passing through will be sufficient to produce atleast 3 to 4 KW.

It will be sufficient for lighting atleast the near the engine. This can act as a substitute power which can be stored in Batteries. A considerable amount of diesel can be saved.

Any one who is doing project to complete your course, can you chip in.

Power of Noise

We know that we live in a world where there is so much of noise. So let's think on it.
Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed but it can be converted from one form in to another. It means sound is also a form of energy, in today's world sound is quite abundant in roads, rails as well as at home.
Can this energy be harvested? Any one has any idea on how to harvest this Energy.

Cure from Air

We have diseases which are air borne like TB, SARS etc then why not the anti-body or medicine which can also be air borne for curing the patient.

This will be good for those who are not able to swallow, or take up injections.

So please free us from injection and pain.

Any Dr. or scientist out there with an Idea on how to do this.

POWER FROM MOBILE TOWER

In the present day we all live by the mobile phone and to cater our need more service providers are raising towers at various locations. The towers goes to a height of 30 to 40 M above other constructed areas.
This area can be used effectively for placing small WTG which has capacity to produce up to 3 KW as well as the area can be filled with solar cells.
Is it sufficient to run the power requirement of running a communication tower. It needs to be checked.
But the power that is produced will be good enough to take care of the lighting in the tower and its cabin. So why wait start installing small wind turbine with PV cells. Any IDEA guys else DOKOMO, AIRTEL or CEL can also take up

Rain water Vs bridges

Building of dams is done to store water for irrigation purpose and for hydro power generation which is quite expensive but has end returns. On the other hand in river beds water stoppers are used to store water during rainy season in order to increase ground water level. The later though may not be as expensive like dams but end result is only preservation of ground water.

On the other hand we build bridges across river bed and the primary aim is for transportation. Why can't we combine the idea of water stoppers / dams while building bridges. We normally build curved surface for the water to pass through instead raise the bottom to say 10 or 20 feet.

This will act as a small dam to store water may be in the rainy season but still it will in reducing the ground salinity.

Can this be made mandatory for all bridges that will be constructed now on.

Any takers?
